CITY OF ANGELS

Mitch warned me that he tagged me in the 4 Things About L.A. survey. Since I apparently like to do these nowadays, I of course had to do this one as well...

Four Jobs I've Had in My Life in L.A.
1) "Media Relations Liaison" at Varese Sarabande Records
2) Accessories Salesperson at Nordstrom
3) Marketing Alliances & New Media Coordinator at Hallmark Channel
4) Manager, New Media/Publicity for a Television Network

Four Movies About L.A. I Could Watch Over and Over (other than #1, I'm not sure if I could really watch these "over and over")
1) Sunset Blvd.
2) L.A. Story
3) Down & Out in Beverly Hills
4) Scenes From A Mall (hey, I know it was bad, but it's a Bette Midler film and it's about Beverly Center!!!)

Four Places I've Lived All Over L.A. (With Food Memories From Each)
I've essentially lived in the same city in L.A. for the last 8 years, moving around to various apartments. So, I'll just list my favorites in Studio City (in no particular order):
1) Katsu-ya -- this where I first ordered great sushi & sashimi...I could eat the baked crab roll, seared ahi w/ crispy onions, crispy rice with spicy salmon and seared ahi w/ Japanese salsa forever...makes my mouth water just thinking about it!
2) Daichan -- they claim their food is "Japanese Soul Food" and it IS!!! I think Daichan is the best Japanese food that isn't made in your own kitchen. LOVE the Poki bowl and their curry reminds me of the kind my mom used to make when I was growing up.
3) Vitello's -- I once lived on the same street as Vitello's (yes, the same Vitello's where Robert Blake killed his wife. On a side note, the food is good and Opera Night is fun if you're a dork like me who likes to sing showtunes and standards).
4) Ventura Blvd. -- some of my favorite restaurants are on this street including: Art's Deli (LOVE their chicken matzo ball soup and corned beef hash), Thai BBQ, Mexicali, Le Pain Quotidien, Stanley's (GOOD Chinese Chicken Salad and the best Veggie Burger I've had in SoCal).

Four L.A. Themed Shows I Love(d) to Watch
1) Starting Over (seasons 2 & 3)
2) Fresh Prince of Bel-Air
3) 7th Heaven (I'm gonna say this is based in SoCal...at least I think this is where it's supposed to be based).
4) Saved By the Bell

Four Places I Would Vacation at in L.A.
1) Santa Monica
2) Malibu
3) Pacific Palisades
4) Beverly Hills

Four L.A. Based Web Sites I Visit Daily
Um, I don't think I visit any websites that are entirely or even partially "L.A. based" other than Paradox Unbound.

Four of My Favorite Foods Found in L.A.
1) Anything from Daichan or Katsu-ya tops my lists (see above).
2) Burger at Father's Office (there's only one and it rocks my world)
3) Estefeta Pizza at Village Pizza on Larchmont.
4) Calamari Salad and Misoyaki Butterfish at Asia de Cuba.

Four Places in L.A. I Would Rather Be Right Now
1) The beach
2) A walk through a neighborhood with nice/cute houses.
3) Driving through the L.A. Canyons or down PCH singing at the top of my lungs!
4) Anywhere with Mitch (except a bus...not so much in love with the idea of taking that again).

Four Unfortunate L.A. Souls
The following people have been tagged: (rather the people who live in L.A. who I know read this blog! I'll list others, but I know they read this on an irregular basis if it all)
1) Tianyi
2) Maureen
3) Mark
4) Dave

I like your Downtown photo.

I think my blog is only partially L.A. based because I spend most of my time writing about Wal-Mart and Donald Trump.

Don't front, I know you love the bus. I have proof!
